Psychologist Londyn - My Medyk
  • Psychologist Londyn - My Medyk Certyfikaty

Renne Gorska, MA, trained as a psychologist and therapist and is registered in the British Psychological Society as a Chartered Psychologist, and in the Health and Care Professional Council (Association of Medical Profession) as a Counselling and Educational Psychologist.

She graduated in Poland and completed specialist courses in the UK. She works with adults, children and youth in the NHS and has run, for several years, a private practice in therapy. In addition, since 2009, she has coordinated the activities of the Children and Family Advice Centre PPA in London. It deals with therapy for  individuals, couples and children. It also supports parents and guardians in the educational process.

Therapeutic and consultative meetings are conducted in a spirit of integrative psychotherapy, which combines different approaches and their methods. Integrative Therapy is a coherent and reasoned theory of modality fusing psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT, DBT, ACT) and the humanistic-existential (PCT) system, and often works with the body.

While training she acquainted herself with specific methods characteristic of these therapeutic approaches. As a result, she gained a powerful set of skills that can be selected and used depending on the needs, characteristics and difficulties of an individual patient. Constant expansion of her perspective (including involvement in new healing approaches) ensures that this therapeutic work can bring greater benefits to the patient than using the same repetitive techniques.

Renata also leads therapies for PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder) using the EMDR method.
