Wrinkles are skin folds that appear on the face making it look old. The first winkles form already at the age of 25-30. The first lines to become more pronounced are those between the mouth and nose, around the eyes and on the forehead. Over the years, elastin and collagen fibres responsible for maintaining proper skin tension grow weak. On the other hand, toxins and free radicals reduce the amount of substances stimulating the production of the aforementioned collagen. As a result, the skin becomes dry, flaccid, while wrinkles become deeper.

Some of the problems inherent in the process of growing old include aging skin, drooping cheeks, sunken tear troughs and deepening of the nasolabial folds. Over time, the skin becomes thinner, less flexible and the first wrinkles appear. Moreover, in some places we lose subcutaneous adipose tissue that supports the skin and makes it look firmer. It is the cause of dark circles under eyes, sunken temples and cheeks. It dries the skin making the wrinkles even more pronounced. What can you do then? You take better care of your skin by providing it with nutrients that skincare cosmetics are full of. That is the least you can do. But will that be enough? Unfortunately – the answer is ‘no’. This is because the aging process commences in deep skin layers that cannot be reached by externally applied cosmetics. Aesthetic medicine treatments are unavoidable. Not only will they revitalise the skin make it firmed, but also they change the shape of your face, giving it a fresh and natural look.
